Get hands-on skills in performing simulated LAAO procedures with the Amplatzer™ Amulet™ occluder:

  • Discover Feops preplanning solution
  • Practice transseptal puncture and device deployment on innovative heart beating simulator
  • Try the Amulet™ Steerable Sheath
  • Visualize procedural steps with GE echographic guidance.

Learning objectives:

  • Discuss the need for optimal approaches to exclude the Left Atrial Appendage and identify patients for whom a LARIAT procedure approach is indicated
  • Describe the epicardial access to the LAA and the procedural aspects to successfully exclude the appendage
  • Discuss current clinical understanding of the epicardial exclusion of the LAA
  • Understand the impact of electrically isolating the LAA in rhythm control strategies

Learning objectives:

Attendees of this scenario-based hands-on workshop can be trained in the use of any of the following:

  • Watchman FLX™ device with Boston Scientific
  • VersaCross™ Wire for Transseptal Puncture(TSP) with Baylis
  • ADVANTICS™ LAAC SOLUTION and ADVANTICS™ ClearPath from Boston Scientific
  • Truplan™ CT Software from Boston Scientific

Working in groups of no more than 3 people and using a simulator, the participants can practice both the TSP and the various implantation techniques for confident LAA closures of some of the most challenging anatomies. The training will also involve case reviews and offer the possibility for attendees to optimize the procedural efficiency of the deployment techniques through the EDUCARE platform and discuss results.

Additionally, all participants will also have the opportunity to learn about our brand new CT Software Technology (TruPlan™) and discuss how we can support you growing your LAAC Program with the help of the ADVANTICS™ LAAC Solution, including the digital platform ADVANTICS™ Clearpath.
