CSI FOCUS ASD CLOSURE

DEVELOPED BY: MARTIN SCHNEIDER, PETER ZARTNER, JAE YOUNG CHOI & SÉBASTIEN HASCOËT

Focus ASD closure is part of CSI Frankfurt 2023, the leading conference on catheter interventions in congenital, structural and valvar heart disease and heart failure, which will take place June 28 - July 1, 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The closure of atrial septal defects (ASD) is successfully performed in most cardiac and congenital heart disease centers all over the world. Even if most procedures seem to be simple and straight forward, others can become extremely challenging, where all your skills and experience are needed, to bring them to a successful end.

This workshop intends to give you an overview of special, sometimes rare or challenging cases, so that you will be well prepared for unusual cases. Furthermore, we want to introduce you to the characteristics of different old and new closure devices, presented out of the daily practice of experienced colleagues. Finally, we need to talk about possible rescue scenarios that can help you and your patients if the outcome of the ASD closure takes an unexpected turn.  All this, plus discussions and answers for your questions are included in these three sessions.
