Dear Colleagues,
|
|
Renal denervation is the first catheter based technique to treat severe arterial hypertension. The afferent and efferent renal nerves are interrupted by applying radiofrequency energy to the renal artery wall via an endovascular approach. This technique is a major breakthrough in antihypertensive therapy. The randomized Simplicity-2 Trial has shown, that this procedure is safe and effective.
In this One-day workshop you will learn everything you need to know about this new and exciting therapy.
Furthermore, you will learn about other new catheter and device based techniques to treat hypertension, heart failure and other diseases. Neuro-Humoral Interventions will become a new exciting field for interventionalists. These new treatment modalities will have a major impact on cardiovascular morbidity and mortality and may become more important than coronary, peripheral or structural interventions.
I look forward to seeing you in Frankfurt,
Horst Sievert
